(RE)PLACING THE BODY

A workshop designed for the 2024 Metamorfosis Queer Ecology Festival in Barcelona, this workshop draws from Luna Mrozik Gawlers ongoing practice in ‘placing’ the body. This process affirms the embodied and embedded material nature of the human, exploring ecologic entanglement and how human bodies are co-composed by diverse species, sites, and scales.

Through guided meditation and reflective practices, participants approach the body as a portal to re-earth, recontextualising a sense of self as an entity that leaks, traces, and merges with other earthlings in endless cycles of exchange, entanglement, and mutualism.

This accessible process is intended to encourages a deep, mindful awareness of our shared dispersal, connecting with and celebrating the interconnectedness and coexistence that define life across vast cosmic timescales. Together, we dis/re-member the 'human', to discover joyful new forms, alliances, and intimacies within an intricate multispecies mesh.
